RIHANNA'S BEST MATERNITY LOOKS

Rihanna’s baby should be arriving any day now, if it hasn’t already, and I can’t think of any better way to celebrate this momma to be then with a rundown of her best maternity looks! Since announcing her pregnancy at the beginning of this year we’ve been blessed with one amazing outfit after another. Rihanna has completely smashed what maternity fashion is “supposed” to look like and fully embraced the glow of pregnancy. She’s made her growing bump the focal point of every outfit she’s worn and has proven pregnancy and motherhood is sexy as hell!

Let’s start with that announcement look shall we, I mean what a way to announce you’re having a bebe! This outfit was the start of what would be a front row seat to her exposed baby belly. I love that it was more a casual look and photoshoot but still gave off those dramatic vibes with all those heavy long necklaces & belt chain. Do we think the hot pink vintage Chanel puffer coat is a sign she’s having a girl?? Also, I want to shoutout her hair, love the half up beachy wave style.

This ensemble would normally not be something I’d be drawn to but I just love it on her. It’s giving me old school Rihanna vibes, from when she first came onto the scene. The green top is such a beautiful colour, and from what I’ve read this look was completely custom made for her.  It’s just a very fun look.

This sheer lingerie inspired outfit is probably my favourite of all her maternity looks. So freakin’ bold, badass and sexy! You can see she’s definitely feeling herself in this one.

A catsuit, but make sure the belly is still the main show! Obsessed with the unique neckline, and the gorgeous colour of this Stella McCartney catsuit is purrrrrr (see what I did there…) perfection. I also appreciate that she matched her shades to the suit. The weird grandpa style jacket I could do without but I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say it was cold in Paris when she sported this suit.

Ok, maybe I lied or got ahead of myself when I said the lingerie look was my absolute favourite, it’s probably a tie with this outfit. She just seemed so happy and flirty in this metallic crop & skirt combo. Since the criss cross neckline is pretty on it’s own, she skipped any sort of necklace and went for a belly chain to accentuate that growing bump even more!

I’m a sucker for sheer material in outfits. I just find sheer fabrics to be so mysterious, elegant and sexy. This almost looks like a shirt and skirt but it is in fact a gown, Valentino, which she wore for an Oscar’s after party.

This casual look made my list because it literally looks like momma is sporting a fancy rich old lady’s silk robe and hubby’s silk boxer shorts. I mean what pregnant women doesn’t want to go out in public in their fanciest comfiest pajamas? Once again my matchy matchy heart so appreciates the fact she matched her sequin sneakers to her little sequin purse.

I’m normally not one for criss cross lace up tops, but it looks so sleek on Rihanna and what she’s chosen to pair it with. Balenciaga sunglasses, Jimmy Choo diamond ankle strap pumps and an actual diamond bra that apparently costs five figures and you literally can’t even see it?!? Celebrities am I right? It’s sort of hard to tell but I think this shirt has a hood, or perhaps the hood is an accessory? I definitely could not pull of all the elegant parts of this outfit with a hoody but I’m also not Rihanna and she kills it.

To finish up this post in a pretty little bow is to highlight EVERY. SINGLE. LOOK. from her Vogue shoot. I mean the Met even made a statue of Rihanna with the cover shoot catsuit, so… not much else to say about the Vogue looks.
