SPRNIG OUTFIT 2 - WHITE TURTLENECK & FLORAL MAXI SKIRT.

Another day closer to warmer temperatures means another spring outfit!
This outfit is probably my favourite of the bunch I came up with. I just love a flowing skirt, it’s so playful and flirty. I also personally feel more comfortable when I’m in a flowing skirt or dress than in pants. When I feel comfortable in an outfit, I feel more confident overall.
Spring in Ontario isn’t as warm as other provinces, so a maxi skirt is a great item to have in your closet and be able to wear for spring time. I purchased this cute floral maxi from American Eagle last season and love that the waist is elasticky, again comfort equals confidence for me. My favourite little detail is the slit, I love a good leg peek-a-boo. The pink floral pattern is perfect for a spring outfit.
I decided to pair my skirt with two pieces from my winter wardrobe, a very light weight turtleneck and black Chelsea boots. I choose a creamy white colour in the turtleneck which helps brighten up the outfit, since both bottom pieces are dark. The lighter colour helps make the look more spring forward.
To make the outfit look more polished, I put on a slim waist belt and then threw on a long tassle necklace in a similar pink shade to the flowers on the skirt.
A very effortless outfit to create but comes across as chic and very put together. This would be a great look to wear to Easter Dinner (if we were allowed) or a wedding or baby shower (again, if we were allowed.)
One day we will all get to dress up again for a special occasion, in the meantime there’s no reason to wait on wearing your nice clothes. Now is the perfect time to experiment with the items in your closet, see how pairing items together makes you feel all in the comfort of your own home.
